“The webcam left unattended, on a website of video-meetings, become window to the world of someone who wants to talk. Exploring between Girola’s “Unattended cameras” we go along a mysterious archive of apparently uninhabited places. The patina that covers the images captured by webcam, isn’t dust, but as in photographs of a dusty archive, there is someone who wants to talk. The charm of stored image is precisely in the impossibility of understanding it fully, because usually there is insufficient evidence to do so, as in presences suggested by Girola.”
