“Close to you” is an public art project in collaboration with Museum of Contemporary Photography of Cinisello Balsamo and Arcimboldi Theatre.

A true breach in space, Stargate-like, which modifies places, creates new ones, and generates optical illusions.

The people who were in the two interconnected places met and developed all sorts of unpredictable interaction and communication modalities. By using large-format screens standing on the ground, webcams and an Internet connection, “Close to you” not only provides an opportunity to see another city and meet people who are in far away places as though they were right in front of you; it may also allow you to be transported to another city and enter another culture. It’s a point halfway between introspection, extrospection and reflection on the concept of image.
